Tea Partners with
The Global Fund for Children

The Global Fund for Children is a wonderful force for good in the world. Our longtime charity partner, the GFC works with local nonprofit organizations to advance the dignity of children and young people around the world.

Since 1997, the GFC has invested nearly $31 million in more than 575 grassroots organizations in 78 countries, helping transform the lives of 9 million of the world’s most vulnerable children.

At Tea, we believe in and wholeheartedly support their mission. Our support takes a variety of forms…
  • On a selected Thursday each month, Tea holds a Global Giving Thursday. We match every single donation given to the Global Fund for Children through our site on this day. (You can choose to donate when you check out).
  • Each year we design several exclusive (and adorable) pajama sets that we sell around the winter holidays. We donate all proceeds from the sale of these PJs directly to the Global Fund for Children.
  • We also hold regular Give Back events throughout the year, during which we donate a portion of all our online sales to the GFC.

Spotlight On Asociación Educativa Kusi Kawsay In Pisac, Peru

This season, we’re celebrating the things that connect us all. We want to show kids that no matter where we live or what language we speak, we all care about the same things. We are partnering with the Global Fund for Children to break down barriers and open minds.

This month we feature Asociación Educativa Kusi Kawsay in Pisac, Peru.

The town of Pisac, located in the Sacred Valley of the Urubamba River, is home to remarkable Incan ruins, dramatic mountains and roughly 10,000 indigenous inhabitants.

Unfortunately, Peru’s public school system does not value indigenous culture or consider the unique needs of indigenous children – many of whom face poverty, discrimination and struggles with self-esteem. The public schools in Pisac are overcrowded and students do not get the individual attention they need.

Asociación Educativa Kusi Kawsay (Happy Life Educational Association) is an independent nonprofit school that provides, indigenous children with high-quality, bilingual education. In addition to traditional subjects like math, literature and science, Kusi Kawsay offers workshops in weaving, Andean masonry, Quechua language, music, dance, art, nutrition and agriculture. The school currently serves 100 children from early childhood through 11th.

When you make a purchase this month, consider adding a donation for the children in Pisac. Even a little bit of love will go a long way.

Tea’s School Days: Shop with 15% off for you +
Donate 15% back to your school

You can help your school just by shopping for your favorite globally-inspired kids clothes from Tea Collection. We created Tea's School Days to expand our charitable efforts and give back to schools in a big way.

The Spring 2016 School Days program will be February 22nd - February 29th, 2016.

How does it work? When you participate in School Days, we'll provide your school with a unique promo code and marketing materials that you can share with your school community, friends and family.

Shoppers will have seven days to enter the promo code at checkout. They’ll get 15% off their order, Free Shipping (6-10 Business Days) AND Tea will donate 15% of the order total to your school!

How does it add up? We'll donate 15% of the merchandise total of every single order placed using the code back to your organization. (Pretty cool!)

For example, if 10 people from your community place an order of $100, Tea will write your school a check for $150. The more people shop, the more we donate. And there's no limit. It's that simple.

Tea Collection’s
Inspiring Mom Awards

Here at Tea, we’re always looking for ways to recognize remarkable moms. In 2012, we created our Inspiring Mom Awards to celebrate 10 years of our globally inspired children’s clothing—and to honor moms who embrace the world, too. This year, we’ll be awarding moms in the following categories: Encouraging Entrepreneur, Philanthropic Pioneer and Global Connector.

We invite you to nominate a mom you find inspiring and share their story. Nominations will close April 25th, and we’ll choose one mom from each category as a finalist. We’ll post our finalists to Facebook and ask our community to vote. One winner from each category (3 moms total) will receive the recognition they deserve, as well as $1,000 for the charity of their choice.
