We’ve collaborated on a
limited-edition doll
that benefits Elimu
Girls and features signature
Tea prints. When you buy a doll, you help to
provide a safe space for vulnerable girls to live,
learn, grow, and give back to their community.
This season we’re partnering with

education and skills training. To kick
start our collaboration,
we donated
$10,000 to support Elimu Girls’
programming and mission.
Kadzo is the latest Pendo (“love” in
Swahili) doll
from Elimu Girls artisans in
Malindi, Kenya.

Elimu Girls provides scholarships,
room and board, and supplies for
young women to attend a two year
vocational sewing program. Graduates
earn a national sewing certificate,
receive ongoing mentorship and their
own sewing machine.
Elimu has hired a small team of alumni to
produce the Kadzo dolls. They receive a
fair
stipend and housing while they build
up their
own customer base and enhance
their income
generating potential. They
receive mentorship
and guidance from
fashion designer at Elimu’s
dedicated
Artisan Maker Space.
