Love the length!
We don't like the look of super long swim trunks, and my son doesn't like the lack of mobility, so we've always searched for ones with a smaller inseam. I love the look of these "shortie shorts" and my son loves them too! He just turned 11, but he's on the smaller size with a very trim athletic build. To be on the safe side I measured his waist, and according to the size guide I ordered a size 7. They fit PERFECT. When in doubt, measure! (I wish buying pants for him were this easy.) PS. We got the Scallop Waves design, and I think it's a cool modern, slightly more grown up pattern compared to some others.

Cute and generous
My son picked these out and they are very cute shorts. He is almost seven years old but weighs 64 pounds and it 52" high. I usually find myself buying him size 10's because he is so big for his age and I hate buying him nice clothes to only have them last 1 season. I ordered these in a size 10 and they are VERY generous. I wished I had bought a size 8 because they barely stay on his body. The material is a little funny for swim shorts, but they do the job! He told me that he thinks they are an awesome design though!
